Shipping Info
At Contemporaria shipping and handling charges are calculated by our third-party vendors based on shipping methods, packaging, and physical dimensions. Due to the number of vendors we represent, shipping charges will will be quoted once goods arrive to the United States. This excludes special items that quickship or floor sample items.
ESTIMATED DELIVERY PERIODS
Lead time of goods commence on the date we receive the full amount of the deposit required for the merchandise you have ordered, the date final designs are signed off from, or the date we receive fabric supplied by any source other than the manufacturer of the furniture, whichever is later.
MERCHANDISE HELD FOR DELIVERY
Contemporaria reserves the right to insist upon the delivery of all merchandise within 30 days of the date of sale or the date the merchandise arrives at our warehouse, whichever is later. Storage charges will be imposed if you fail or refuse to accept delivery within 30 days of arrival.
DELIVERY CHARGES
All deliveries are made by the independent carrier selected by us unless otherwise requested. Deliveries outside of our local delivery area are shipped FOB from our warehouse or store, freight collect. You must pay for hoisting and any other extraordinary measures necessary to accomplish delivery. Additional customs fees or taxes may be subject to additional charges responsible by the client.
FURNITURE SIZE
Client is responsible for determining that merchandise will fit through doorways, stairwells, corridors, and elevators.
CLAIMS
Claims and all packages must be inspected and opened on site during delivery. Any and all claims must be photographed and submitted to delivery team on delivery. Signature to delivery team should not be permitted unless all goods are in good and proper condition. All claims to be replaced must be made within 3 days after receipt of goods. Replacements of claims to be accepted and authorized by the necessary parties as needed (i.e. Client, Contemporaria, General Contractor, delivery company, or freight forwarding company). Claims may take the full standard lead time and typically cannot be expedited.
*Items stored for long periods of time without delivery cannot be claimed if received damaged and client is responsible for all costs to replace.
FLOOR SAMPLE DELIVERIES
Showroom floor sample delivery is the responsibility of the client. We are happy to arrange delivery with either of our trusted delivery agents if needed.
